Through other channels, I’m hearing this 100% tariff on EVs came *after* China made a deal to manufacture them in mexico. No tariff importing from mexico.

I didn’t know about this. But it’s sad that China is outcompeting the US on quality. The Xiaomi has better specs than the equivalent Tesla and sells for half of the price.
