Feeling Understood

This is my political trajectory in a nutshell:

I literally simply just wanted to take my kid to play in the park which normally would have made me a good mother but in 2020 it suddenly made me far-right and I haven’t recovered since.

  1. Loser. You bear the responsibility to raise your children as you so choose. International law does not apply to how you choose to raise your children any more than international law determines the laws of the Jewish state of Israel. The language “international law” just bull shit rhetoric bat shit crazy noise.

  2. Thanks. The original Tweet didn’t have a link, and Googling the words from the Tweet was turned up things like the article I linked to and years-old pieces from Rolling Stone.

  3. What you described is not what makes you far-right.

It’s obsessing and being extremely upset only about anyone in any way untraditional doing anything sexually inappropriate or criminal while simultaneously not mentioning all the sex crimes being continuously committed by upstanding church-going family men.

    What about these scandals?

Are the children and teenagers traumatized less because the men look normal?

Is abuse by teachers, pastors, and other (mostly) men in positions of authority something expected that we can’t stop, but abuse by non-traditional persons something new we can prevent by keeping them separate from our children?

I’m not claiming that this is what you think. I’m not claiming that you’re not disgusted by straight family men sexually assaulting kids. But you never mention that.

I find this similar to the left’s obsession with mass shootings. When these things happen, you post something along the lines of it being performative outrage and them not really caring about gun crime because they’re not continuously talking about all the black kids dying from gunshots daily in cities like St Louis.

So how is your obsession with sex crimes only when they’re committed by a specific group of people any different?

    1. Some years ago, when I was ranting against (straight male) pedophiles, I was accused of being a pedophile myself because nobody but a pedophile would feel so outraged by pedophiles.

So yeah, I’ve mentioned, I’ve mentioned. And the accusations of my putative “obsession with sex crimes” were worded in an identical way as yours. One just can’t win.

Long-time readers: please observe this and weep.

      1. Well, yes, I would agree that a focus on pedophiles in general is neurotic. Neither my spouse and I nor any of our friends who are parents focus on that.

  4. It’s always been a mystery why drag queens insist on telling stories to children and children only. Why not old people in hospitals, or in hospice care, you know, people who’re actually starved for company and would really appreciate someone to talk to.

    Nope. Always children.

        1. The absolute degeneracy and self-hatred.

Also, everything was done to reduce viewership because it’s embarrassing to watch, especially if you have kids in the house. A self-defeating, ugly, ridiculous spectacle.

          1. I have fond memories of watching the Olympics with my dad. Can you imagine a family getting together to watch this filth now? It’s sports for fucks sake, not the Oscars! No aspect of society is safe from these freaks.

            1. That’s exactly it. We have my kid’s cousins staying over, and there’s no chance I’d even remotely consider watching it as a family. I won’t watch anything as a family unless I have investigated it in advance. Normalcy has to go into hiding so that this perversion of taste, morality, culture and beauty can flourish.

          1. Truly the answer of a happy secure middle-aged woman who follows Christ’s commandment to love her neighbor like herself.

The poster didn’t say a word about beauty. She just said that the performance was based on the Feast of Dionysus, not the Last Supper.

      1. Haven’t even thought about tuning in for a couple years at least. I sometimes watch the qualifying competitions for track and field– the ones where it’s still just a footrace, no ceremony.

Is Athing Mu running this year?

  5. The logical problem with this tweet is that the same people who support defiling the christian faith and flooding society with tranny degeneracy also support the idea of unlimited muslim immigration.

Muslim immigration and drag queens are both symptoms of the same disease! This smug muslim can therefore shut the fuck up. If this society was righteous in the way you want it to be, you wouldn’t be here.

  6. It’s on brand for the French aggressively reminding you that they are secular from Catholicism, specifically!

The Seine is still filthy, and I don’t think I’d want to wander around the Bois du Bulogne or Bois de Vincennes, even with the police crackdowns. They only officially banned brothels in the 1940s.

And then there was this coordinated attack on the rail system:

  7. I didn’t watch the opening ceremony. My social media algos don’t push drag queens at me. They push diets and woo and makeup at me. They pushed Gojira at me though.

(Should children be protected from a heavy metal band’s performance with headless Marie Antoinettes singing the sans culotte version of Ça Ira at Conciergerie de Paris with an opera singer interpolating Habanera from Carmen, and red confetti streamers to imitate blood and fireworks? Is it destroying Western civilization from both ends? )

(Don’t worry, it’s busy being zapped from the internet — because of copyright claims.)

What browsers, ad and popup blockers are you using for your computer, or smartphone, Clarissa?

Even if you loved all of the Kamala ads, ads often work as vehicles for malware, and make your devices run slower. I find ways to run from paywalls because of the ads, even if I like the publication.
