The Certainty of the West

The West lost the certainty that it deserves to win. The Battle of Cajamarca was won by Europeans because they knew they were right. You can’t achieve anything without inner certainty and resolve.

For two years, since the Kherson offensive, Ukrainians were listening to the West’s guidance and ending up as losers. Because the West today has embraced the culture of loserishness.

This week, they finally embraced their role as the new West, and here’s the result:

Look at what’s happening in the UK. The word pathetic doesn’t begin to describe what it is. Look at the ugly, cheap attempt at conducting the Olympics in France. Look at our election process here in the US. Look at people in Spain beating up tourists because they want to get rid of their most important industry in a bout of self-destructiveness.

The real West still exists but its center of gravity moved to the East of Europe.

    1. Ukrainian Commander-in-chief Syrsky is Russian, and we joke that nothing is more natural to a Russian general than to want to win the Battle of Kursk.

      1. So now we agree that savages on both sides use sexual violence as weapons of war. Progress. A long way from “silence without words” and Clarissa’s “they’re the savage ones.”

Let’s keep this up, we might eventually agree at a good place to end this war.

Are Americans savages too, in your eyes? Don’t think Abu Ghraib was the only case of prisoner abuse in American history.

There is a difference between societies, which react to publications re torture like Americans or Israel, and between societies like Palestinians or (to much lesser extent) Russians which see torture as a feature rather than a bug.

          1. And, pray, when have you seen Clarissa, or anyone on the mainstream media condemn the use of sexual violence by Israeli military the way they went on and on about October 7 Rape which Haeretz has already said was bogus.

You’ve just made my point. When savages in Hamas rape people, we use it to condemn the whole society. When the whole bloody IDF condones it or can’t get a handle on it, and lawmakers lead protests to harass the military, and Israeli TVs actually host debates about the appropriateness of sexual violence against inmates, then you see which society is more savage.
