Russian Hedgehogs

I’ve requested to be invited with another guest the next time, so there can be a debate and we can yell at each other. There was a lot of yelling during the Polish debate right before my appearance and I really wanted to participate even though I know absolutely nothing about the subject. And I understood no Polish beyond “Russian hedgehogs” and “I have a different opinion.” But I want drama, screaming. More Montel, less Phil Donahue.

On the positive side, the plan we collectively created on my segment has been already communicated to the Office of Zelensky. If it wins us the war, I’ll want credit.

Seriously, Polish speakers, what does this phrase that sounds like “руські їжачки” mean?

    1. I don’t know, she said it several times. I should have noted it but I was stressing over my own appearance.y previous one sucked, and I wanted to do better this time.

      1. I think I found the first instance of something that sounds like “Russian hedgehogs” at 36:18 in this clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yX1hXqkOndw

According to the subtitles, she was saying “od ludzkiej rzeczy” – “from a human thing” – in the larger context of starting the Polish-Ukrainian reconciliation from a human thing of proper burials.

        1. Yes! This is it. Thank you so much. It totally sounds like руській їжачок to me.

I’m very grateful to have this mystery solved. Thank you!!!

I’m in complete agreement with what the Polish woman said, as I understood it from the replies to her statements.

          1. You’re welcome. It felt good when I watched the parts where she was speaking and could understand it quite well. I detected the words that confused you but couldn’t figure them out myself either & decided to try out Google’s auto-generated subtitles.

  1. “руські їжачки””

I found the video and have been listening a little, skipping around some, but haven’t heard anything yet… I’m assuming that it’s something I would never think of transcribing the way you did (ears are funny things).

  2. A playful twist that combines two distinct elements: Russian and hedgehogs. “Руські” (Ruski), you’re invoking a connection to Russian culture or identity.

“Їжачки” (Yizhachky): means “hedgehogs” in Ukrainian. Perhaps they’re hedgehogs who love borscht and balalaika music. Or maybe they’re hedgehogs with fur hats, sipping tea on the Trans-Siberian Railway. And who knows, they might even have tiny matryoshka dolls hidden in their burrows!

      1. “word for hedgehog”

A few years ago I was on a project and a couple of other people on the team were a married couple of non-Polish permanent residents (one speaks a Slavic language one speaks a non-Slavic language).

They had a son in elementary school 9-10 years old and while Polish is the general home language the demands of helping the kid showed up lacks in vocabulary they had no idea about.

One day he came home and had to do a report on ‘jeżyki’ (hedgehogs) and could they help him find some info. Great they said and there was no end of confusion and misunderstanding until they realized he was talking about ‘jerzyki’ (swifts – a type of bird, cерпокрилець чорний in Ukrainian according to wikipedia).

In modern pronunciation ż and rz are both pronounced ж and so jeżyki / jerzyki are homonyms.

      2. 1975 Soviet animated film directed by Yuri Norstein and produced by Soyuzmultfilm studio in Moscow: “Hedgehog in the Fog”. In this short film, ёжик embarks on a misty adventure to visit his friend, the Bear Cub, & gets lost in thick fog. Like happens in the hills of Jerusalem.

      3. My latest scholarship:

Was the Rambam a pig who worshipped other Gods?

The Rambam fraud assumed he could name is Roman halachic codification by the very name of the 5th Book of the Torah. Rabbi Yechuda named his common law Mishna after the common law 5th Book of the Torah named משנה תורה. The Rambam pervert compares to the Apostle Paul pervert. Both רשעים distorted Jewish common law replaced by Roman statute law.

The Maimonides code divorced Gemara precedents from their Primary source Mishna. A Huge error in Jewish law. An error on the order of cutting off the head of a patient who came to a doctor complaining of a headache. The Rambam assimilation to Greek philosophy directly compares to Solomon’s marriage to foreign wives which turned his heart to worship other gods.

Xtianity perverts the 2nd commandment as a prohibition against graven images. The negative Torah commandments: do not pursue the customs and manners of the Goyim, and do not intermarry with Goyim, like as found in the Book of Ezra, they define the k’vanna of the 2nd Sinai commandment: not to worship other Gods. Graven images a Xtian avoda zarah perversion of the Torah.

Torah common law had no “theology” until the puke Rambam perverted Talmudic common law halacha into religious Judaism Roman statute laws! The Yad ha-Chazakah not a comprehensive legal code based on Talmudic principles. Why? Because the Gemarah scholars never held their opinion as equal in authority to the rulings of the Mishnaic scholars! Whereas the Rambam halachic perversion makes absolutely no distinction between Mishnaic and Gemarah halachot! A fundamental day and night difference.

Greek philosophy qualifies as assimilation a direct violation of the 2nd Sinai commandment. T’NaCH and Talmudic common law addresses mussar and courtroom legal rulings based upon a Case comparison of similar rulings. This has zero to do with religious theology. Theology represents assimilation to the worship of other Gods! Maimonides legal codes firmly rootted in Roman and Greek traditions while only dressed in the external garments of Jewish traditions. The two not at all the same.

The Mishneh Torah just as much bull shit as the writings of the Apostle Paul. Both hated and despised Talmudic common law. The Mishneh Torah just as much bull shit as the writings of the Apostle Paul. Both hated and despised Talmudic common law.

Rambam’s code of Roman statute halachic law, pulbished about 1185. That רשע died, thank God, in 1205. Rabbeinu Yonah placed that רשע into נידוי about 1215 and ordered the destruction of his books thereafter across all of Spain. In 1240 the Rosh attempted to prevent the condemnation of the Talmud by the Church. In 1245 the Church burned all the Talmudic manuscripts in Paris. In 1290 after years of taxation without representation the king of England expelled all Jews from Britain. In 1305 France did the same. This all happed consequent to the Rambam Civil War.

Pragmatic move? Its worships avoda zarah! Nothing pragmatic about the Civil War that exploded among the Jewish people consequent to publication of Rambam’s Roman statute law codification which perverted all Talmudic halachot by divorcing these Gemara precedent from interpreting the language of their Mishna. The Gemarah serves as a commentary to understand the Mishna. The Rambam code destroyed the Talmud. The Rambam’s Mishna Torah perveted the meaning of משנה תורה as meaning common law. The Rambam Code duplicated Roman statute law and called it by the lie: Mishna Torah.

The greatest of all commandments in the Torah … the 1st Sinai commandment which requires obedience to the Torah common law legal system לשמה. The Name a Spirit and not a word. The בנין אב of blowing the shofer serves as a precedent to the Cohen Ha’Gadol who pronounces the Name on Yom Kippur. Halacha and Aggadah compare to the warp/woof of a loom. A garment cannot exist if you remove the warp from its opposing weft theads.

Jewish law not limited to halacha but relies upon how the Aggadah interprets prophetic mussar to derive prophetic mussar as the k’vanna of halachic religious tohor time oriented commandments from the Torah and Talmud! Roman statute law — codes based upon set Orders of subjects which have no connection whatsoever with T’NaCH prophetic mussar.

Genesis – the Av time oriented commandments which require k’vanna.
Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers: the toldoth generations of positive and negative commandments which do not require k’vanna.
Deuteronomy משנה תורה Common law which stands upon precedents בנין אב.

Grace the 5th attribute of the revelation of the Oral Torah at Horev! Paul totally perverted and distorted the revelation of the Oral Torah! He divorced Oral Torah tohor middot/attributes which define aggadic Tamudic scholarship from Torah common law. Paul’s propaganda where he told Goyim: “You are not under the law” totally failed to discern Jewish common law which stands upon Torah commandment precedents from Roman statute law which stands a legal ruling upon the merits of itself alone!

Jewish law? This term means nothing. It requires knowledge which can differentiate between Jewish common law from Roman statute law. The apostle Paul a Jewish agent provacateur. His stoning on the road to Damascus utterly violated Torah common law! His propaganda telling Goyim “they are not under the law” failed to discern the day and nigh distinction between Jewish common law and Roman statute law!
