There was a strange melodic clinking coming out of out wineglass cabinet, and we investigated it, and then I thought that my father would have written such a wonderful short story in the Borges style about it but he’s no longer around. Not a day passes by that I don’t feel his absence acutely.

I don’t know, it’s weird. N says that the wineglasses were arranged just so that when I turned on the dryer all the way in the laundry room, that made the glasses clink. Some weird sciency stuff.

OT. What do you think of this?

Yes but it’s not a decisive factor. Documents are downstream from population. The Spanish conquerors very purposefully created a mixed-race population. The Anglos very purposefully didn’t. The results are what they are.

Also unrelated, Fuentes’s show on the tucker-cuckabee interview was great.

Dude. This is brilliant. I totally loved it. What a gift in such a difficult day!
It’s clearly inspired by Borges’s worldview but lacks his pretentiousness and mawkishness. ❤️❤️❤️
