Thank you for the great link! One of the absolute miracles of post-Soviet Ukraine is a recovery of the country’s Christian tradition. It seemed utterly impossible only 20 years ago but it happened. And it changed absolutely everything. This isn’t just about church attendance. It’s about the spirit of the people going from the Soviet cynicism and casual cruelty to light and kindness. Younger Ukrainians are completely devoid of Soviet legacy. It’s amazing to observe.
