A Freudian would say that the reflecting pool is a symbolic birth canal that is ready to birth liberals into independence and maturity. They are horrified by that possibility. Trump is their symbolic mother, and his efforts to expel them into independent thinking through the symbolic birth canal feel to them like an expulsion from a warm, murky, concealing paradise of gestation into the cruelly transparent clarity of adulthood. They’re trying to destroy the birth canal to prevent this expulsion.

I’m joking, of course, but it’s undeniable that the roots of the liberals’ feelings for Trump are not political but psychological. For a long time, I thought that he was their symbolic daddy. I was wrong. He is their symbolic mommy. Everything begins to make sense when you see it that way.

I’d say it’s more spiritual than psychological. I could first sense this present evil strongly during what they called the Women’s March in January 2017. It was as if they knew, supernaturally, that Trump was the beginning of the end of their satanic plans. Any one familiar with the Trump prophecy of the Hermit of Loretto will understand this. They first tried to discredit him, then they tried to impeach him, they tried to cheat him, convict him, imprison him and eventually tried to kill him. Having failed in all of these they finally resort to mindless violence and vandalism. Trump certainly seems an unlikely instrument, but there is precedent.

He is many things to many people. Whatever he is, I have noticed that a number of liberals have some kind of sexual fixation on him that they are in denial about. The mugshot photo especially brought this side of them out.
