OK, folks, it’s that time of year again when I get restless about the blog theme and feel the need to change it. Please look at the following possibilities and vote for the one you prefer:
Theme 1 (Inspiration Laboratory):
Theme 2 (Adelle):
Theme 3 (Retro-fitted):
Or we could go back to our penultimate theme which is appropriately titled “Retro-fitted”:
Theme 4 (Grisaille):
Theme 5 (Under the Influence):
Theme 6 (Bon Vivant):
Theme 7 (SemPress):
So let’s vote! It’s time to be adventurous and change things around. You can choose up to 3 answers.
Number 1 is really nauseating. It’s chilling to see it place second.

Inspiration Laboratory has some nice illustration but it’s a pretty distracting design for a blog. Far too much of it is empty space and the black-text-on-orange-background combination is really hard to read. Grisaille is damn classy however, and Bon Vivant is good apart from the annoying curly font. π

Theme 1 is awfulβ¦ It hurts so much to look at I might have to restrict checking your blog to only once a day π

Yes, theme 1 is a little garish. Just a teensy little bit. π But I thought it really reflects my personality. π

I wound up voting for 7. 4 could also be good. Bon Vivant looks cute but I prefer dark text on a light background. Agree with anon that theme 1 is an eyesore.

Ha! I chose #1 before I read your comments.

My favorite is 1, but I have a proven track record of bad taste so take that into consideration.
Least favorite is 6 – way too frou frou

Number 1 is so horrible. Even to read you, I would have to make some effort with it. π¦
I really like both your current theme and 3.
7 and 2 are very good too. (Voted for 2-3-7, for all convenient to read possibilities.)
As for the rest (4,5,6), they are harder to read than black letters on white backgrownd. And the arrangement of posts of 5 is less convenient than one post after another.

I like 2, 4 and 7, but anything except 5 and its horrible double-column layout would be fine.

I also think the double-column thing might get too obnoxious.

Double-column works for photography tumblrs and only for photography tumblrs. When one actually reads a blogpost, one prefers not having half of one’s screen space being taken by a different, unrelated blogpost.

I actually like #1 for this blog, and it is the only one that is truly different. (It’s not forever, either.)

Theme 6 has a nice font, but reading white on a black background is annoying after a few minutes. I can cope with just about anything else.

I know, I love everything about this template except white-on-black. I’ll see if they can do the same but with black-on-white.

NEWS:
Hot on the heels of Arizona news that one Christian woman was assaulted by another Christian woman in Phoenix because she said βHappy Holidaysβ rather than βMerry Christmasβ (!) comes a New Jersey report that two men attempted to burn down a βKeep Saturn in Saturnaliaβ billboard put up by the Freedom From Religion Foundation (to counter a βKeep Christ in Christmasβ banner hanging over Pitmanβs main thoroughfare). Itβs not the first attempt to deface/destroy the FFRF billboard since it was unveiled last week.
