And especially in businesses that compete for government contracts?
I just remember how, a few years ago, word got around that 4 out of 5 of the top US military contractors had female CEOs, the reason being that legislation instructs the government to favor companies with women in leadership. A different dimension of DEI, but the legal/financial incentives would surely be the same.

Yes, the financial angle is part of this. But it’s not the whole. Big business has gone very, very liberal.

I appreciated your point. Business really embraces the philosophy of pivoting and endless malleability. Academia, in the meantime, tells everybody to do so but refuses to follow its own precepts.
