I’m sorry, has anybody been able to read this and not laugh?

Are these losers trying to entertain? Or is there anybody who is so bereft of a sense of humor that they are not finding this funny?

Argentinean libertarians are the real deal. Against vaccine mandates, against any COVID restrictions. I don’t like them but at least they are consistent.
The American libertarians are total wusses in comparison.
By the way, remember all that panic back in March 2020 about how there weren’t enough ventilators for COVID patients? And how we urgently needed more ventilators? Then it turned out that 90% of people put on ventilators died, mostly from bacterial lung infections. Ventilators are deadly for COVID patients.
But what I didn’t know is why ventilators were so aggressively used when they were of no use for COVID patients. Turns out the goal was to prevent medical personnel from being infected. Intubated people don’t cough, don’t aerosolize, and hence don’t infect. This was stated openly in an FDA guidance in March. The result was thousands of needless deaths in NYC. The investigation into these deaths was stopped in its tracks by a hastily thrown-together #MeTooish assault on Cuomo, the New York governor who led the way on ventilator use in COVID.
This is from Berenson’s book.
In his book, Berenson mentions some of the headlines in NYTimes, CNN, etc during March-August of 2020. I had no idea they were as bad as that. I very purposefully avoided reading or hearing a single word about COVID from the mainstream media until late August of 2020.
And thank goodness for that.
Maybe some people have the strength of character not to be swayed by such aggressive, panic-inducing lies (and now it’s clear those weren’t mistakes but lies). But I don’t. I know that had I listened, I would have been poisoned with terror. So I don’t blame anybody for getting terrified. I do blame them for listening. If by March 2020 you still somehow managed not to know that you can’t trust newspapers or TV programs to tell you whether sugar is sweet, then you are to blame.
OK, though, it’s not March 2020. It’s December 2021. The past is in the past. But now, today, if you still don’t automatically assume that the truth is the exact opposite of what MSNBC or NYTimes is saying, then I have to assume you are hopelessly addicted to propaganda. At this point, if you still believe their stories about absolutely anything, I’m sorry, but you are a sucker. All of these insurrections, right-wing marches on Washington, waves of hate crimes – these are all lies, just like the imminent death of the 6% of the US population from COVID within months announced back in April of 2020 and based on zero science. If you still believe all this outlandish crap, it’s really on you.
After the third colleague in a row asked me if I was excited that Biden was talking to Putin about not invading Ukraine, I couldn’t hold it in any more and responded that yes, a discussion between the clone of Putin and the corpse of Biden was, indeed, super fun.
Seriously, why can’t we pay taxes directly to Pfizer? It is our new government. Let’s save us the expense and the bother of moving the money through many different hands and give it directly to the people in charge.
In Canada, a teacher brought the Christmas elf toy into the classroom and informed the kids that it’s ok because the elf is fully vaccinated. I wonder how the elf’s colorectal cancer screening went because we need a full medical history of each toy before children can play with it. Is Santa bringing a report from his urologist? Because there’s no place for him under our fully vaccinated and boosted Christmas tree if not.
Just as “the vaccinated” were getting used to being a superior caste, they’ve been demoted:

The moment you get distracted, you slide right into the category of dirty, untouchable vermin.
Soon enough there’s going to be the intersectionality of the fully boosted where fully boosted “people of color” will be considered more boosted than anybody else based on the historic injustices they’ve experienced.
Alex Berenson is explaining how to talk to well-meaning but confused acquaintances about COVID vaccines. Or, rather, how not to do it:
Don’t overwhelm them with detail. Marek’s disease, antibody-dependent-enhancement risk, healthy vaccine user bias, age stratification, clinical trial design manipulation, unadjusted confounders, declining titers, B-cell maturation, booster schedules, anti-idiotype antibodies, spike protein migration, vaccine induced thrombotic thrombocytopenia – don’t go there.
Unreported Truths.
The scary part is that I know exactly what each term means and can hold forth on each for at least 15 minutes with numbers, graphs, and a bibliography. I could have used that brain space for something more relevant to my interests and professional pursuits but no, I have to remember the extraordinarily boring (to me) shit about spike protein migration and declining titers. Because I wasn’t given a choice.
This is one of several reasons I will never vote for anybody who runs for any office as a Democrat for as long as I shall live. I didn’t want to learn about ADE but I was forced to against my will. This cannot be forgiven.
