Well, I’m glad this has been officially recognized, even though everybody who wanted to know this a year ago could have easily done so.
The CDC also officially recognized that the majority of deaths that have been coded as COVID deaths were actually deaths with COVID, meaning that the people who died from whatever other cause while also testing positive for COVID were counted as COVID deaths. This, again, has been clear since April 2020.
What really disturbs me is that nobody is feeling angry and duped by all this. What CDC director Walensky is saying is not a recent discovery. This information has been available from the start. But now Walensky is presenting it as something new.

I suspect that a LOT of people are feeling angry and duped, only most won’t say so publicly, because when you’ve been played for a fool you feel humiliated and embarrassed.
One of my blogging buddies has a sister who is a nurse practitioner, who took care of Covid patients all through the time when no vaccines were available, got Covid, and recovered from it. When vaccines became available, her employer required everyone to take the jab, with no exceptions for natural immunity, so my friend’s sister took it, since at the time she saw no reason not to. After she’d been jabbed, she came down with Covid again, a much worse case of it than she’d had the first time. Before that, she had been urging everyone she knew who had not yet had Covid to take the jab, in the hope that it would prevent infection/transmission of the virus. Now she knows she was misled, and it urging everyone NOT to take it.

Yet, our governor is soon to announce booster mandate for all the state employees and a neighboring university (that also switched to online learning for the beginning of the semester) requires all employees and students to get a booster if they want to continue to work or study there. The facts (even acknowledged ones) do not matter one bit to these people.
On the bright side, even despite a large surge of cases in this area, our University is going ahead with the in-person classes and have been strongly discouraging online classes, so I am grateful for that.

People in my state are pissed off. It just isn’t making the news. In general, I get the feeling pretty much everyone is dissatisfied. The hysterics are also realizing that the Democratic strategy isn’t really all that different from Trump’s. At this point the CDC and everyone else is just downplaying the virus and we’re full herd immunity mode.

They won’t feel properly duped until they find out in realtime that the vaccine damage is both common, and cumulative. It’s a game of how many boosters they can get you to take before you either drop dead or realize your current health crisis may have been caused by the shots and refuse to get more. The other 10-60% of us, who refused from the start, have been pissed about it all along. But we share the country with a bunch of ninnyhammers who believe everything they see on TV.

Those who are used to the idea of governments being covertly corrupt shouldn’t really be all that surprised at the notion of them taking advantage of the advent of a world-wide plague to infuse a bit of psyop elements into it.
The same way those used to the notion of the police primarily being “power-trippers” quickly latched on to the officer who arrested George Floyd going way over-the-top in the way he was arresting the guy (even though Floyd SHOULD have been arrested, not quite in THAT extremist manner).

The truth of the matter is those-in-charge really DON’T know anything about this current plague, but feel the need to hang on to exuding an air of “knowledge” and “confidence” because a lot of the general public are liable to panic if they feel those-in-charge are just as confused, insecure, and helpless about the matter as they are.
Those-in-charge are supposed to be our “guardians”, our “good stewards”, the “curators” of their societies.
