Snapped

I love the TV show Snapped. I record every episode. But I rarely watch past the first 15 minutes. It isn’t the crimes and the trials that I’m interested in. The really fascinating part is when they show the landscapes and the stories of real people all over the country. It’s the lives before the snapping part that I could just watch and watch.

There used to be a show called City Confidential, and each episode would describe a town and then would tell of a murder than took place there. I loved the town descriptions.

Why Pence is Scary

After listening to Mike Pence last night, I understood why Trump is so popular with the Republican party base. Pence is literally on a different planet from what the base wants and he’s so smug and oblivious about it that it’s scary.

This last year has been eye-opening to everybody about what the Republican base wants except for these old-school old farts like Pence. Not that Trump is a spring chicken but at least he’s not all abortion-Russia, abortion-Russia like a broken record.

War on Christmas

There absolutely is a war on Christmas going on. It’s called global warming.

It looks like we’ll spend this Christmas, yet again, mowing the lawn instead of playing snow angels. I read a book on what this town was like back in the late 19th century, and it was all about snow sports, sleigh riding, skating and building snowmen in winter. Today, these activities sound outlandish in this region.
